RIVER HILLS SPORTING CLAYS...is a shotgun sports facility specializing in various types of clay bird games. We are on the bluffs high above the Missouri River near Boonville, Missouri. We have a variety of rolling meadows, deep wooded valleys, and most everything in between. Sporting ClaysSporting Clays
is our specialty. There are two courses. One is the main course, which has over 60 shooting sites to place the 12-16-station
course that is changed frequently. This includes a 58 foot multi-floor
tower that has traps on many different levels. There is also a 36 foot and a 30-foot
mobile tower along with two 12 foot mobile towers. There is also a mo The course has all automatic traps which includes; midis, minis, rabbits and chondels. Since it is all automatic you and your shooting buddy can throw for each other and go as fast or as slow as you want without waiting for a trapper.
Shooting Sporting Clays can be a family event. The course is a well-kept
park like area. The paths are well marked so people do not stray into
danger. Since the course is automatic, children of the shooter can enjoy

Since Sporting Clays was developed to simulate hunting situations quail, pheasant, duck and dove hunters come out to stay tuned up for the hunting seasons. 5-StandThe 5-Stand is located in the woods on a 70-foot deck. There is a 20-foot tower located behind the deck. The deck overlooks a ravine that along with the tower some interesting target presentations can be thrown. The 5-Stand is computerized which sets the menu and keeps score. The computer can easily be changed to throw singles or report targets for the novice or true pairs for the more advanced shooter. For the adventurous we can throw a flurry where it is up to the shooter to load fast enough to keep up with the targets. The 5-Stand is lit so you can shoot after dark. Skeet/TrapThe skeet-trap field is official size with full concrete paths. It is also lit for night shooting. EventsRiver Hills have many events throughout the year. We are recognized in the Midwest for the Missouri River Classic, a three-day registered shoot. We have hosted the NSCA Missouri State Champion shoot several times. We also host fundraisers such as the Central Missouri Food Bank/Rock Bridge Lions shoot where more than 100 people attend. There has been business meeting and corporate outings at River Hills along with customer appreciation shoots. When weather permits River Hills staff can cater up to 250 people. We have a covered 32x60 deck and can erect a 20x30 tent when needed. elevated stands that are looking over the river bluff, over a large wide valley,
and one over a pond. These elevated stands give many
opportunities for a variety of target presentations even before we add the
variety of target that can be thrown when we add a mobile tower.
